Last week I was taken to the city
Himatnagar to solve the problem of my indian sim card. We went to the main
Vodafon shop. The security guard gives you a number (automatically – LOL) then
tells you what to do. Sit down, wait, go here, or move there. There are only
two desks in the shop but the guard is very strict. He will decide who and
where to go not considering what number you are holding in your hand.
This shop is an exclusive one. There are
two air-conditioner on the walls and an empty fresh water tank.
Well, at last I couldn’t get my indian sim card because I left my address card at home. I wouldn’t have thought I could ever need it in India... And without a permanent address they weren’t able to provide me the service. What do you think they could do with my permanent address? Write me letters???
Also I needed a photo but I didn’t have any
with me. So I was taken to a photo shop where they take professional photos for
official cases. I was charged 70 rupees (about the price a liter of milk in
Hungary) and was given 32 photos... What the hell I will do with so many
profile photos I don’t know yet... LOLA few days later I got my active sim-card. It was cut off from the normal sim card with a knife... I tried to insert it into my iPhone but my iPhone didn’t like it at all. I couldn’t even insert it in the phone.
Next round.
We sent it back to the shop saying it doesn't fit into my phone.
They asked me what phone I have and look what the sent back:
Had to wait another week to produce a proper micro sim card. I was very much doubtful but yesterday I got a good quality sim cart that went into my iPhone easily, and it worked immediately!!! Miracles do happen! And the internet works as well. So I will be able to get any messages at any time from today.
Actually I was promised to have my indian sim card two weeks ago saying I would have it by 7pm. But I wasn’t told which 7pm... This is India...
